Thank you Alexandra, and Anita, for this video. I'm just starting out on Substack and was delighted to find you! Your work in this space of the felt sense and nervous system is very much in my wheelhouse and i look forward to connecting more for discussions and growing this learning. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying listening to your posts, so thank you for you 🌻

I was struck by your, Dr Anita's, background of CBT and your openess to work with the somatic level as a therapist too. And I was struck by Alexandra how you were coming from an embodied somatic therapy stance and were open to Dr Anita. I think there's so much room for us to collectively grow our understandings of ourselves by expanding across ways of seeing. You guys modelled this really well

I experience overwhelm as a simultaneous freezeup and overexcited energy that feels bottled up in my body, so movement is a big part of helping release that, or taking a walk in nature.

Those are commonly co-occurring sensations/emotions Pete. I hope our video is helpful, alongside your helpful nature walking.

Hey Pete. I so resonate with your description! It can feel exactly like this: wanting to move but being unable to. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!
